It depicts the peaceful daily lives of the people around her, centered around four people: small, otaku high school girl Izumi Konata, who loves animation and games, her friend Hiiragi Tsukasa, who has a relaxed personality, a sturdy twin sister, Hiiragi Kagami, who plays the role of tsukkomi, and Takara Miyuki, who is good-looking, well-informed and has a natural place.
